Companion service

Share anything that’s troubling you, get professional advice on your health and wellbeing, or just enjoy some quality time with a dedicated companion. Companion chats take place online or by phone and are available to both new and existing patients, and their loved ones.

New patients are welcome to get in touch with us directly, or someone can contact us on your behalf. We can tell you more about what we offer and see how best to support you.

Volunteer companions

Everyone is welcome to play their part in the development of this exciting new service. No experience is necessary as full training will be provided. If you can spare one or two days per month, then we would love to hear from you. We’ll offer:

  • A nationally recognised qualification.
  • New life skills.
  • An opportunity to share care and happiness with others.
  • A chance to work with positive like-minded people.

Get in touch

If you’d like to find out more about using our companion service – or joining our team as a volunteer companion, please get in touch using the form below, or call us on 02920 023444. We look forward to hearing from you!

Please note: After you press ‘Send’ you should see a “Thank you” notification which lets you know the ball is rolling. Please don’t leave the page until then. You should also receive an email saying we’ll be in touch – but just to make sure, it’d be great if you’d drop an email to hello@skandavalehospice.org (that way we can keep a lookout for your form).
