Sponsored walk – Pembrokeshire coastal footpath

  • A family running on the beach towards the waves in Wales

Join us on Bank Holiday Monday 7th May 2018 for a family friendly sponsored walk along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Footpath.

A sponsored walk suited to all ages and abilities – choose your route!

  • Four mile: A woodland walk that’s great for families. Setting off from base camp, you walk through the ancient Ty Canol oak woodlands to some monolithic cairns, where you have a panoramic view of the valley. Coming back down from the cairns, you’ll meander through enchanted bluebell glades (meeting a pony or two on the way).
  • Six mile: Hike a wild and rugged part of the coastal footpath, with ascents and decents of 400ft to sea level. Dip your weary toes in the surf at the glorious Poppit Sands beach.
  • Eight mile: Trek along the clifftops from Moyle Grove to Newport Sands beach, keeping an eye out for dolphins and seals as you go.

A great cause (and some tasty food).

After your walk enjoy a celebratory dinner, held at the 600 year old Tudor gatehouse of Pentre Ifan. Snacks and drinks are also provided throughout the day, free of charge. All the money you raise will help us to develop and extend our respite service so we can care for people with cancer and other life threatening illnesses for longer periods of time.

Collecting sponsorship

The best way to collect sponsorship for the event is to set up an online fundraising page. If you would like to walk, please set up a page on Virgin Money Giving. If you have any questions about the event, please leave a comment below, or call us on 01559 371222. Thanks!

How do I get to the walk location from Skanda Vale ? is there any facility from the temple or from the sponsoring authority for this ? It is a challenge to start @ 8am for the walk while we get to stay in Skanda Vale for the previous (3may) night and the distance between the temple and walk location is about 50kms or over.

    Thank you.
