Our volunteer & paid roles
As far as we know, we are the first and only hospice in the UK to be run by volunteers. What makes us unique is that the vast majority of our team, including senior management and care staff, are volunteers. Everyone is here for the love of the work.
Don’t just think ‘I’m going to get back to my normal life’ when this pandemic ends. We’ve been given a rare opportunity here to look at what’s really important in life. Skanda Vale Hospice is here to help nurture and build on that.
Current opportunities
The roles advertised below are suited to remote working and can start right away. As we begin to reopen (hopefully later this Spring) a regular physical presence at the hospice will be important.
Administration Manager
Join our team as Volunteer Administration Manager and help keep the wheels of our Hospice running smoothly.
Head of Care Delivery

Workforce Development Manager
Our Workforce Development Manager should be someone who loves working with people and has the experience to help manage our team.
