Backstage crew at the legendary Glastonbury festival raised almost £4,000 in aid of Skanda Vale Hospice this year.

Hospice lead nurse Kiera Jones and her green room and therapy team offered sessions for Woodsie’s crew members and performers at the iconic music event.

Husband Jim, area organiser for the Woodsie’s stage, added the profits from the sale of Woodsie’s stage crew t-shirts

Between them, the pair raised a phenomenal £3,741.60.

“I’m so grateful to all of the crew who donated,” said Kiera.

“I’d like to say a massive thank you to the Woodsie’s green room and therapy team.”

“This is a fantastic contribution towards our much-needed equipment rejuvenation fund.”

Brother Michael, chair of the Skanda Vale Hospice trustees, said: “This is a fantastic result for the Hospice. Thanks so much to everyone for all their efforts.”

The money raised will all be used to buy new patient care equipment at the Hospice.
