This role is suited to remote working and can start right away. As we begin to reopen after the pandemic, a regular physical presence at the hospice will also be important.

Volunteer role overview

Administrators keep the wheels of our Charity moving.

Without a team of good administrators, the daily activities of the Hospice grind to a halt. Making sure our admin team recognises the direct impact they have on our ability to deliver the Hospice mission is crucial. You’re here to keep morale and motivation running high, so collectively we can transform lives for the better.

We have teams of volunteer administrators in every department of the Hospice; from clinical admin, to finance, communications, marketing, operations and care. Some will work on-site at the hospice, some work remotely from home. As the team leader, you’ll need fantastic people skills to create a sense of shared purpose, determination and resolve to inspire and motivate your team across dispersed locations.

There’s no doubt that this is an important, worthwhile and satisfying role. Here are some of the ways you will change lives:

  • Your team will enable patients to access our services, bringing relief and support to people during the most challenging times of their lives.
  • Your team will enjoy the creative challenge of finding new and efficient ways to help us recruit, train and develop new volunteers, creating positive experiences and a strong sense of purpose amongst our team.
  • Your team will give Hospice management reliable and accurate data, giving them the clear insights they need to make sound strategic decisions to guide and improve our work.
