Skanda Hafan is a self-catering accommodation project in Dolgran. It is run completely by volunteers with all profits directly funding our hospice.

There is approximately an acre of gardens and a further four acres of agricultural land. The potential to develop inspirational grounds and gardens around the buildings and further afield is immense.

We are looking for a new team of volunteers to help create and maintain a magical set of spaces and external structures to complement the fabulous accommodation provided.

What will this role involve day-to-day?

As a garden volunteer, you will be joining a new team and be involved in the creation and maintenance of the gardens, grounds and garden structures at Skanda Hafan. We encourage everyone in the team to be active in sharing their ideas and helping to mould the project. In this role you will be involved in:

  • Mowing
  • Weeding
  • Pruning
  • Sweeping
  • Digging
  • Potting
  • Various aspects of simple construction.

Existing skills, experience and knowledge of gardening is very welcome as is a passion for nature, creativity, team spirit and willingness to muck in. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
